My love for garage rock knows no season. But The Raveonettes<\/a>‘ dreamy fuzz works particularly well as the weather starts to warm up. This group mashes all my buttons at once \u2014 cooing, 60’s girl group melodies, noiry, reverb drenched guitars, 2-step surf beat, piles of sonic dirt \u2014 and Dead Sound is The Raveonettes at their sugar rush peak. A lot of critics dismiss them as mere Jesus and Mary Chain ripoffs, but JMC never had hooks this good.<\/p>\n
