Dave joined Switch in November 2021 and quickly made an impact. In 2022, he earned Employee of the Quarter while working as Facility\/Warehouse Lead.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When asked what he enjoys most about his job, Dave&#8217;s answer is simple:<strong> variety<\/strong>. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He might be building a website, fixing tech issues, or helping set up for a live event. Dave enjoys working in those spaces where creativity and problem-solving come together. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">That approach continues even after work, as Dave is always creating, whether it&#8217;s playing guitar, bass, and piano, fixing and building things.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Fun fact about Dave is that he has loved musicals since he was a kid. My Fair Lady played on repeat more times than he can remember. Creativity runs through everything Dave does, from music to coding to hands-on projects. If you asked his friends to describe him, they&#8217;d say he&#8217;s kind, goofy, and tall, which the Switch team can agree on.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When he looks back on his journey, Dave shares two pieces of advice that keep him grounded:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;Believe in yourself, you&#8217;re better at this than you think.&#8221;<\/span><\/em><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;Change the things you can and accept the things you can&#8217;t.&#8221;<\/span><\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This mindset helps Dave grow and makes him someone his teammates can always count on.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For Dave, it&#8217;s all about the people at Switch that make it different than other companies. His favorite Switch moment isn&#8217;t about one event, it&#8217;s simply enjoying any time the whole company comes together. &#8220;It sounds clich\u00e9,&#8221; he says, &#8220;but it really is like a family here.&#8221;\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you know Dave, you know that whether it&#8217;s a last-minute fix, a big idea, or something unexpected, he&#8217;s already on it.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">And if you haven&#8217;t met him yet, chances are he&#8217;s helped you anyway.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>At Switch, some people keep things running, while others quietly make everything possible.
