This month, we’re excited to spotlight John Knoll, a Project Manager with Switch for two years and a key contributor to some of our most complex projects. As a Project Manager, John Knoll helps guide projects from start to finish, keeping teams aligned and details on track. One of his favorite parts of the role is seeing new places while working on-site, an experience that comes with turning ideas into real-world execution.

When reflecting on his time at Switch so far, John Knoll is most proud of his work on MiTek trade shows and the Monster Tour. These projects pushed boundaries and showcased the fast-paced, collaborative nature of experiential work at Switch. Outside of work, John Knoll enjoys staying hands-on and adventurous. John’s hobbies include 3D printing, working on cars, and camping with their family. As a child, he dreamed of becoming an astronaut, a passion rooted in curiosity and exploration that endures today.

When asked what advice John would give himself on his first day at Switch, he says, “There are many people here who have been doing this for a long time, take the time to learn something new from someone every day”. The best advice John has ever received follows a similar mindset: “Work to live, not live to work”.

When it comes to Switch culture, John Knoll says his favorite moments are our BBQs and potluck events, where the team gets to slow down, connect, and enjoy time together. It says a lot about a company when you enjoy spending time with your coworkers both in the office and outside of it. When describing John, his friends and colleagues would say he is adventurous and outgoing, which are two reasons he makes his mark at Switch every day!

We’re proud to have John Knoll on the Switch team and grateful for the experience, perspective, and dedication he brings to every project. Stay tuned for next month’s Switch Spotlight as we continue celebrating the people behind the work.
