Every day at Switch looks a little different, and Courtney is one of the people helping keep it all moving behind the scenes.
As our HR Coordinator, Courtney has been part of the Switch team since 2019, when she started part-time in HR/Admin. Since 2022, she’s been full-time in HR, helping support the people who make Switch, well, Switch.
One of her favorite parts of working here? No two days are exactly the same.
“I love that every day here feels different,” says Courtney. That variety is part of what makes Switch such a unique place to work, and Courtney has experienced plenty of it over the years. One project that stands out to her is the Reign Storm sampling program, her favorite project so far.
But there’s more to Courtney than HR and project days. You might not know that she used to be into rock climbing, and when she’s not at Switch, you’ll most likely find her taking walks around her neighborhood or exploring local parks.
And if she could pick up a new hobby? Painting is on the list.
Her approach to work and life is probably best summed up by the three words she chose for herself: easygoing, adaptable, and confident.
That adaptability comes in handy at Switch, where things are always moving and communication matters. In fact, the best advice Courtney has received is one that feels especially fitting for a fast-moving creative agency: “Most problems are communication problems.”
Her advice for anyone starting their Switch journey? Take the time to get to know the people around you. After all, the people are a pretty big part of what makes Switch work.
And as our latest Employee of the Month, Courtney sees the recognition as something more than a title. For her, it’s “a new way to introduce myself to the people I work with.”
So, whether you know Courtney from HR, have crossed paths with her around the office, or are just meeting her through this month’s Spotlight, now you know a little more about the person behind the role.
Easygoing. Adaptable. Confident. And always up for whatever Switch brings next.
Thanks for being you, Courtney!
